Cat Grooming

Just like dogs, some cats also need regular maintenance and grooming. Even more so in some breeds such as Persians, Maine Coons, and Exotics who have luxuriously thick coats which can make them prone to matting and furballs.

Some senior cats with arthritis and mobility issues are also unable to groom and maintain their coats, and need a bit of assistance from us.

Cat grooming can be stressful for a lot of cats and often their matting can be so extensive that it can’t be done comfortably or safely awake. Working closely with Wigram Vets we can plan a groom under sedation. Your cats are checked by a veterinarian prior to sedation to make sure they are fit for the procedure. Once sedated, the groom is performed in the vet clinic, under the supervision of the vet and monitored by the vet nursing team. Recovery is monitored and completed in the vet clinic until we are happy that your (not so fluffy) pet is able to go home.
